Meet our Organist:

Nancy Kirkelie studied piano for twelve years under Justin A. Miller, of Albany. She began an organ career at the age of fifteen, as a summer replacement. This turned into a permanent position at Lebanon’s First Presbyterian Church, which lasted fifty-three years. She served as Director of Music in Lebanon, for twenty-five years, directing the church choir, concert chorale and gospel choirs and the five-octave Carillon Memorial Handbell Choir, besides her organist duties. She has been organist at UPC for over ten years. Nancy and husband Ken, have two married children, two granddaughters, three step-grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Meet our Pianist:
Amy Isted has experience in performance on the piano, pipe organ, harp, as well as other instruments. She is also a librarian at Jefferson Public Library and works with the ensemble Laudare. Her interests include: reading, walking, spending time with her family and learning new skills. Amy graduated from Linn-Benton Community College and has worked as a teacher at Kidco Headstart and as the organist at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church. She enjoys sharing her love of music, teaching, reading and working with children and is excited to join the United Presbyterian Church family.
