Our Sunday morning worship service begins at 10:00 a.m. and lasts about one hour. It is mostly traditional with the addition of a delightful blend of modern and traditional music and an occasional nontraditional activity.

Thanks for being flexible…August 2021 Update

The session of UPC met this week to revisit mask guidelines because of the recent surge in COVID-19 cases due to the highly aggressive Delta variant. In keeping with CDC and state recommendations and guidelines, we are asking that ALL people, regardless of vaccination status, please wear masks when attending worship in person at UPC. The use of face masks provides significant protection for individuals who are unvaccinated as well as an additional level of protection from a small but known risk of infection by the virus for persons who have been vaccinated. Masks make at least a small difference almost everywhere. We mask for other people. The decisions we make are always out of an abundance of caution and as an act of love and hospitality for all who enter our doors, members and guests.

Because each of us worships a little differently, the service is a blend of audio, visual and movement. TV screens at both sides of the sanctuary display words to songs and hymns; the anthem is provided by our Hallelujah Choir, our Praise Band, a solo by a talented vocalist, or an elegant organ or piano piece. Members of the congregation are invited to stand and sit during different portions of the service and occasionally to come forward. The highlight for many of us is the sermon where our pastor shares his thoughts about the relevance and the application of the scriptures to our modern day lives.
The first Sunday of each month we celebrate the Lord’s Supper. Anyone who trusts in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is invited to receive communion.
Immediately following worship the congregation gathers for coffee, tea, cookies and conversation outside under our covered area.
Child care is provided for infants and toddlers through age three for the entire worship time.
We invite you to join us.
